I have been teaching yoga for over thirteen years in the community of Kilworth-Komoka. A life changing experience with cancer in 2002 prompted me to focus on health. I have over 400 hours of yoga training and over 400 hours of other disease-preventative and health-empowering training. The love of learning and sharing the knowledge continue to transform my life.
In my classes, I focus on what the individual needs to bring a state of yoga -- balance, harmony and union. It is my hope that I can impart some of the knowledge I have to help transform and grow the lives of others. I believe that we can all be healthy, happy and find meaning in our lives. My credentials are as follows: Yin yoga training (2019); Abdominal Chi Massage (Thailand, 2019), Tom Myers' Anatomy Trains introduction to Myofascial release (2018); Sivananda Retreat workshops in Bahamas (Healthy back and core; Mastering Stress 2017); Kripalu Teacher Training (focusing on Meditation and Advanced Asanas 2013); Advanced asanas, Fascial and Psoas release with Brenda Dowell (2015); Iyengar-based certification from Sheridan College (2003 - 2005); Thai Yoga Massage at Intermediate level (Levels 1-4) including Thai Head and Foot Massage (2013 - 2016); Ayurvedic Nutrition & Cooking (2012) and Aromatic Medicine Diploma (2009) .
